Profile

Jia Liu is a lecturer in the Department of Architecture and Design at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. She received her M.F.A degree from University of Mississippi, USA, and B.E degree in Industrial Design from East China University of Science and Technology in Shanghai.

Her extensive design practice includes graphic and exhibition design for several organizations in United Arab Emirates and set design for the Shanghai TV Station. She taught students at different levels during her postgraduate studies in USA. Her current research interests are furniture design, forms and material, and user-centered design practice.
