Stephen Pan is a social and behavioral epidemiologist. Dr. Pan's research focuses on policies and social and cultural processes that impact public health. Substantive areas of research have included HIV/STI prevention, mental health, and healthcare preferences. Dr. Pan has received funding support from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, US National Institutes of Health, the US Fulbright Commission, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, and the government in Taiwan. Dr. Pan has been conducting public health research in China for over ten years, and previously worked as a regional epidemiologist and HIV/STD disease intervention specialist in the United States. He is a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy, and teaches modules on epidemiology and public health program evaluation.
