Dr. Chia-Feng (Jeffrey) Yu is a Senior Associate Professor, with special interests in corporate finance, behavioral finance, and financial accounting, at the International Business School Suzhou (IBSS) of Xian-Jiaotong Liverpool University (XJTLU). Prior to joining XJTLU, he worked for many years at the University of Adelaide (Go8) in Australia. He is passionate about being able to bring his research and teaching interests to his new cohorts and to develop his career in new educational contexts.Dr. Yu obtained his PhD from Monash University. His research covers a broad spectrum of areas in finance, accounting, and economics. He has published extensively in internationally leading and reputable journals, including the Journal of Corporate Finance (ABDC: A*, ABS: 4); Journal of Business Finance & Accounting (ABDC: A*); European Accounting Review (sole-authored; ABDC: A*); European Financial Management (ABS: 3); European Journal of Finance (ABS: 3); Journal of Futures Market (ABS: 3); Journal of Management Accounting Research (sole-authored; ABDC: A*); International Review of Financial Analysis (ABS: 3); International Review of Economics & Finance; Economic Modelling; Finance Research Letters; Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, among others. Dr. Yu has successfully completed the supervision of several PhD/MPhil students. He always tries his best to provide suggestions for his students in a timely and helpful manner and guide them to develop and accomplish a high-quality research thesis. He is well-recognized as a reviewer by numerous internationally refereed and reputable journals.
Dr. Yu's current research mainly focuses on competition and coordination within top management teams, the real effects of financial information and regulations, the determinants and consequences of technological and financial innovation, and applied game and behavioral economic theory in corporate finance. He also works with his colleagues on research projects regarding environmental finance and labor finance in China.
