Profile

Dr. Cheng Yu Yang obtained his Ph.D. in Finance degree in 2017 from the University of Warwick, UK and then joined XJTLU as the Lecturer in Finance since the August. During his Ph.D study, he worked as the seminar tutor for Msc Financial Mathematics and Finance-relevant MSc programs.

His research interests are diverse and quantitative-based, including asset pricing, financial econometrics, financial risk management, machine learning application in Finance and Cryptocurrency trading. He is enthusiastic about doing quality research. With respect to teaching, Cheng Yu has abundant teaching experiences in both undergraduate and postgraduate modules,including Business Finance, Financial Risk Management, etc. with good student feedback. In particular, he also obtains the UK HEA fellowship in 2020.
