Profile

An experienced language teacher, Scott has a passion for linguistics and learning languages; he holds an MA in Applied Linguistics, is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, speaks Spanish and also some French. His research interests include corpus linguistics, second language acquisition, L1 transfer and teaching methodology.

Scott is also interested in programming; he is proficient in Python and JavaScript and is working on programs and applications related to language learning.

At XJTLU, Scott is the Module Leader for and instructs on the Introduction to Second Language Acquisition module. He also teaches English for Academic Purposes.
