Profile

Dr. Xin Jin obtained her PhD in Economics in 2013 from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Prior to joining XJTLU, she was with University of Aberdeen in Scotland in Europe's oil capital, Aberdeen. Xin’s research interests are economics of natural resources and economic development. She has studied crude oil prices dynamics, commodity markets, and is currently working on the relationship between natural resource dependence and economic structural transformation (i.e. industrialization/deindustrialization).
