Profile

Gengyang is an Assistant Professor in Economics. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from AgroParisTech, University of Paris-Saclay. During his PhD study, he had short visits to the University of Copenhagen and the University of Umea (one semester).

Prior to his appointment at IBSS, he worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Exeter, as a Research Fellow at the University of Bretagne-Loire, and as a Postdoc at the Grenoble School of Management. Currently, he also holds an appointment as an Honorary Senior Research Fellow in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, at the University of Exeter in the UK.

His current research interests include a) empirical analyses of factors driving individuals’ adoption of energy efficient and eHealth technologies, b) the impact of socio-economic and environmental inequalities on health outcomes, and c) the relationship between residential location choices and ecosystem services.

He has published multiple articles in peer-reviewed international journals such as Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Ecological Economics, and Energy Economics.
