9-27-96 "Hi, I loved your web page . . . just great. I do have a question for you
regarding Joe and his autograph. A few years back I wrote Joe and sent a
football card asking for an autograph. I sent the request to the Chiefs
organization and a few months later I got my card back with a San Fran
postmark and it was signed (this was the year he was injured). Anyway, a
friend of mine wants to try to do the same and I need an address to send to
since he is out of football and I don't think he would receive it if the
request was sent to the Chiefs. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help and
keep up the great work." - RJ in Canton OH.
You can write to Joe at IMG, who manages him. I'll Email you the address.
Take
care.
9-26-96 "Hi there, Debbie. My name is Amie Sarley and I live in Commerce, TX.
Joe "Cool" is a Definite Hottie! I was browsing on the web trying to find something
about Joe Montana and your name and web page came up. I have never seen
another
person who doesn't live in Kansas City but who is as big of a Chiefs and Montana fan
as I am! I get teased about it all the time here in Texas considering I am in "Cowboy
Country" . . . but all I have to say to that is, "4-0 BABY!!!!!" Anyway, I love the pic of
Joe
on your page and I was wondering where you got that. I would love to hear back to
you. Please write to me. :) bye!" - Amie Sarley
Well, "Howdy," Amie! I can't help but feel that this is definitely the Chiefs'
year!
Actually, I love ALL of Joe's pictures. You'll have to give me a little more info on
which
one you're referring to. I'll be writing to you soon!
9-25-96 "Since going on line, my girlfriend has sat here countless hours as I
search and down load pictures of Cindy Crawford. The other night we looked for
Joe,
but could not find him. Tonight we stumbled across your site! Honey, you said you
have a little thing for
Joe . . . My girlfriend and I disagree - You have a really large thing for Joe. Your
website is one of the best I have stumbled across so far. We must have explored it
for
at least half an hour! I thank you for an entertaining evening, and my girlfriend
thanks
you for the photos. You seem like a wonderful person. Have a great life!" - Z&D,
Danville CA.
You know, I read your Email, and you really made my day - for about 4 days
in a
row. You still make me smile when I read this. Thank you so much.
9-23-96 "Hi Debbie! I wanted you to know how much I enjoyed your web site.
Of
course, it would be hard not to love it with all the pictures of Joe!! I agree he is the
greatest! Lucky for me my husband agrees with me so we don't have to argue
over it. I was wondering if you happened to know of a source for old Joe
game tapes? I have a few but not near enough to satisfy the withdrawal pains
I have been going thru! I don't understand why the NFL doesn't sell old
games on tapes. As many people as there are that look for old games, you
know they would make tons of money off them. It just doesn't make sense to
me. Anyway, if you know of anyplace that has them available I would
appreciate the help." - Janice Santos
I wish I knew. I'd love to have some myself. If anyone emails me that they
would
like to share tapes, I'll pass it on.
9-22-96 "Debbie, I very much enjoyed your pages. I am not a football fan, but I
do appreciate a cute guy in any form. Hehehe . . . Please accept my award for
showing
the web a "Lovin' Touch" - SassyBeth.
Your award is proudly displayed in The Trophy Room. Thank you very
much!
9-21-96 "THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST HOMEPAGES I HAVE EVER SEEN
LATELY, YOU DID AMAZING JOB." - A KUWAITI CHIEFS FAN
Aww, shucks! Thank you, sir!
9-96 "Hi Deb! I love your Web tribute to Joe, very well done. I have lived in
New
Hampshire for 10 years now but before that lived in California (Santa
Rosa/Sonoma area), and am still a hug 49-ers fan, but even bigger Joe
Montana fan! My office at home is jam-packed w/ magazine covers, photos,
collectibles (starting lineup action figures, I have Joe as 49er and Chief), etc. My
sister recently sent me a management campaign poster that Target did; it
has Joe with a caption of 'Be an Everyday Hero'. So, of course, I had
it framed. Anyhow, just wanted to drop you a line. Do you have a copy of the
ESPN
special 'The Fire Inside' that was done ('95 I think)? It's great! When people ask me
why I like Joe so much (my husband jokes that I have a crush on him, but although
he's
great looking, that's really not it), I respond that he's the type of leader I aspire to be,
makes everything
look really easy and doesn't make much of a fuss about himself. Oh, and he loves
what he does too! Anyhow, this video is a perfect representation of his leadership
qualities.
How did you get that Superbowl ring picture of him autographed? Do you have an
address I can send to so that I can get an autograph on one of mine? If you get a
chance, drop me a line and let me know! Thanks, and again, I enjoyed your page!"
Deb
Timmons, New Hampshire
Wow! Great minds think alike! And we're both Debs, too. You can write to
Joe
c/o IMG, his management group, and I'll email the address to you. Take
care!
9-6-96 "I don't know who you are, but this thing is absolutely beautiful. You have
paid a tribute to a hero to many. I am on a friend's computer so I cannot be
E-mailed back. I live in New York and have been a 49er fan forever. I have
been trying to get copies of the five super bowls that we won on video tape.
I am not looking for highlight videos but full games. If you could be of any help please
contact me." Blaise DeNoya, NY
Blaise, thanks for the compliments. Again, if someone leaves me an Email, I'll
pass the info along.
9-4-96 "Deb, I stumbled across your home page while surfing for chiefs related
sites. I found your page listed with Yahoo. Take a look at the site I am building (still
under construction) for "Len Dawson" HOF 1987 at
"http://www.cybergen.com/dawson/dawson.html" He is my idol of QB's. I grew
up watching him play in the big games as well as practice every Friday night at William
Jewell College in Liberty, MO when I was about 8 yrs. Any way, I am a
HUUUUUUUGE Chiefs Fan and just wanted to say hey. Was that too close last
week
or what? I hate it when that happens. Take care and GO CHIEFS!" - Greg
Lambert.
Greg, your site is looking great! I envy you - you got to watch your favorite
QB
practice, as well as play. That's the stuff that great memories are made of, and they'll
be with you the rest of your life - treasure them always! Keep in touch, and GO
CHIEFS!
9-2-96 "Great page, especially the info on Joe Montana. If you have any
information on how I could obtain a video of the Chiefs/Niners game from
the 1994 season please send an E-mail. Thanks!" - Stephenie K.
Stephenie, your two best bets would be contacting the Chiefs and the NFL.
Maybe if someone has a copy of the game, they'll send me an Email, and I'll get back
to
you.
8-23-96 "You're right - football has not been the same since Joe left. I can take
it
or leave it now when before I was hooked. I really like all of the pictures you have.
How
did you find all of these. I haven't had much luck finding pictures of Joe on the net. If
you have
anything to share about Joe I'd love to know. I'm a great fan also. Thanks for the
page
you created!" - Jodi Emtman, Walla Walla, WA
Jodi, good to hear from you. Rest assured, if I come across anything about
Joe,
I'll post it here.
