On Saturday morning, May 18, Kevin Gilbert was found dead in his apartment. What a tragic loss of such a good musician and person. My deepest sympathies are with the family and friends of Kevin. If nothing else, I take pride knowing that Kevin is in a better place. Unfortunately, it is hard for the people that he left behind. Just remember. They'll be a time when we'll all be reunited in that music mesh in the sky when our time comes.

I only had the chance to exchange one e-mail with Kevin since my web pages were up, but I can truly say that he was a good fellow. It is hard to find someone with so much talent that can be down to earth and easy to get along with. I got that impression of Kevin just over the Internet, so I could imagine what he could have been like knowing him in person.

All I can say now is that I have always appreciated his music and will continue to for the rest of my days. I know how it is to lose a loved one, and words can't seem to express what goes through one's mind during these hard times. I hope that people can keep Kevin's music in their hearts and his spirit WILL last forever. My thoughts and prayers are with the Gilbert family and Kevin's friends during this hardship, and I hope that there is something that I can do to help. Right now, I think that we all need time to recover from this state of shock! If anyone out there is bumming and needs someone to DE-stress with, e-mail me.
